Privacy notice
Auxesis Review Center (ARC) respects your privacy. This notice explains how the ARC Review app handles your personal data under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act 10173).
What we collect
- Your name, email address and the review package you are enrolled in.
- When you sign in with your ARC LMS account, ARC Review reads your name, email, role and approval state, LMS package, batch, status, and start and end dates from the ARC LMS, and keeps them with your LMS account and package ids. It also keeps a keyed fingerprint of your LMS password's hash, to tell when the password changes, but never the password or the hash itself.
- Sign-in records and a label for each device you use, such as “Chrome on Android”.
- Your answers, scores and study progress in the app.
- The school you graduated from and the month and year you graduated.
- Reports you send about a question, with any note you add.
- The nickname you choose for the leaderboard and Duels, if you choose one.
- If you play Duels: your duel rating, wins and losses, and the duels you play, with each player’s answers, rung or blanks right, and time.
- The network address (IP address) of your device when you sign in or try to, in our security log.
Why we collect it
- To give you access to your review package and keep your account secure.
- To enforce the limit on the devices each account can use.
- To show your progress and help ARC improve its review materials.
- To show your nickname and how many items you mastered this week to the other students in your package, on the weekly leaderboard, unless you hide yourself.
- To see how review is going for each school, and to share results by school with that school without your name.
- To run Duels: to show your nickname, rating and record to other students in Online now, in challenges, in a duel and on the duel ranking. Switch off Accept challenges to leave Online now, and hide yourself from the weekly leaderboard to leave the duel ranking. Your answers in duels count toward your progress, as your other answers do.
- To keep accounts safe: the security log helps ARC spot and stop someone guessing passwords.
- ARC records when copying, printing or saving review material is blocked, when review screens are hidden because you switched to another app, tab or window (and for how long), and when you press the screenshot key on a review screen (what happened, on which screen, and when). ARC staff use these records only to protect the review material, and keep them for as long as your other account data.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for 6 months after your access ends, a period set by ARC’s Data Protection Officer. Each month an ARC administrator reviews the accounts past that period and deletes them, or keeps one a little longer when there is a reason, and then it comes up again the next month. Copies in our encrypted backups are not changed; they expire on their own, daily backups after 30 days and weekly backups after 52 weeks.
Our security log keeps the network address of a failed sign-in (a wrong password, or too many tries) for 90 days, and of other sign-ins as long as we keep your other data.
Who can see it
Authorised ARC staff. ARC may share results by school with your school, without your name (see “Your school and results”). We store data with our hosting, database and backup providers under contracts that protect it. We do not sell your data.
Other students see only your nickname, never your full name: on your package’s weekly leaderboard and in duels.
For live duels, our realtime provider (Ably) passes short “something changed” signals to your screen. They carry no names, answers or scores.
Your school and results
We ask for your school and the month and year you graduated. ARC may share results by school with your school. Your name is never included: you appear as a number, such as Student 1. Your results are listed only when at least 5 students from your school and graduation batch have results; otherwise they count only in your school’s averages. If only a few students from your school are in ARC, your school may still be able to tell which results are yours.
How we use AI
Some parts of this app use Claude, an AI made by Anthropic. Claude writes the explanations shown after Millionaire answers. If an answer or explanation looks wrong, use Report this question.
Help also uses Claude: the question you type in Help is sent to Anthropic so Claude can write an answer from ARC’s help guide. ARC does not save the questions you type, so leave out personal details such as your name.
Only your question and the parts of the guide that match it are sent, never your name or your answers to review questions. You can get up to 30 AI answers a day, and Help’s AI answers for everyone are limited each month. Over either limit, Help still answers from the guide, without AI.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data or ask us to delete it from your account page, and ask us to correct it by email. You can also withdraw your consent in Your data on your account page. You then cannot use this app until you agree again, but you can still ask for a copy or deletion of your data. For data privacy concerns, contact info@auxesisreview.work first. You can also bring them to the National Privacy Commission.
